Key Stage 3

Teaching and Learning at this Stage is based on an integrated curriculum of the British and Nigerian curricula. Students offer subjects from the British curriculum leading to the Cambridge Secondary 1 Checkpoint Tests in Math, Science and English at the end of Year 9. The feedback reports from the Tests assist the school and parents in designing a Learning programme suitable for the student.
Students also offer subjects in the Nigerian curriculum leading to the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of Year 9. Subjects offered include the core subjects and electives taken from Agricultural Science, Business Studies and Home Economics.
Students’ learning is enhanced through a rich curriculum and a delivery that places them at the centre of teaching and learning.
Classes in this Key Stage include Year 10, 11 and 12. Students at this stage specialise in one of three subject areas: Science, Arts and Commercial. Subjects offered from the Nigerian curriculum include the core subjects of Mathematics, English Language, Civic Education, ICT and a trade subject (Fisheries). Students select other subjects based on the specialised subject areas.
