ADMISSION POLICIES/PROCEDURE & REGISTRATION

Admission into Legacy Schools – Crèche / Prep / High – is initiated by the parent / guardian who submit a request for the application forms either on-line or physically at our contact addresses.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Parents / Guardians who desire their child (ren) / wards to sit our common entrance examination into both prep and high school must obtain an application form at any of our designated centers by taking these steps:

Physically or electronically make payment into the stipulated bank account(s)

Present evidence of payment to collect, fill and submit the entrance forms on the last working day before the preferred entrance examination date.

Students / pupils will be tested in these subject areas – English Language, Mathematics, French, ICT and General Paper. Emotional Quotient (EQ) Test may be administered on a child if need be to ascertain behavioral reliability.

Under 24 hours, a successful applicant will be notified via e-mail, short message services (sms) or phone calls. This will be followed by an official letter from the office of the Director of Administration or Head Teacher as applicable.
He / She must come to school with:
4 color passport pictures
Completed and certified medical report
Copy of most recent report card
Transfer Certificate (if applicable)

ACCEPTANCE OF PROVISIONAL OFFER

A non-refundable / acceptance fee shall be paid to secure the offer of admission and will be deducted from child’s first full fees.

Admission pack containing students handbook, term planner, uniform list (available in school) etc. Payment must be 100% on or before resumption for all new intakes.

EDUCATION AND CURRICULUM

Legacy Schools offer educational and care services to pupils and students ages 18 months to 16 years using a broad and balanced curriculum drawn from the Nigerian and British curricula. Our services tailored to meet specific needs are divided into the following units:

Preparatory School
High School.

ADMISSION POLICIES:

  • Admission is open into all classes from Crèche to High School except terminal classes i.e. Year 6 (Prep), Year 9 (Junior High) and Year 12 (Senior High).
  • All documents claimed in support of admission must be sighted or submitted as the case may be before admission is effective.
  • There must be a meeting between the principal officers (school management team) and the child with one of the parents or both before admission is guaranteed.
  • Payment of tuition and registration fees within the time limit stated on admission letter guarantees admission.
  • In case of low level performance in entrance examination, a candidate may be placed in the desired class on a one-session trial period.
  • All candidates into the secondary must have completed the primary education.
  • Entrance examination and oral interview are compulsory for all candidates. However, administration of the emotional quotient test in order for quality service delivery is at the discretion of the management.
